π¨π¦ Joseph Kun Estate Series β 4/4 Violin Back Plate β European Maple (Acer pseudoplatanus) β Tomov Auction Provenance π¨π¦
We are pleased to offer a violin back plate originating from the workshop estate of Joseph Kun (Ottawa, Canada π¨π¦). This piece was purchased at the Joseph Kun estate auction by Toronto luthier Filip Tomov and subsequently acquired through professional sourcing.
Crafted from European Maple (Acer pseudoplatanus), this is a two-piece bookmatched back showing medium horizontal flame and good quartered structure consistent with traditional violin tonewood selection.
The plate has been roughed to arching and fits closely within a violin mold outline, leaving the maker freedom for final edge refinement, graduation, and purfling work.
No certificate is provided with this item.
