We are pleased to offer a 10 inch violin fingerboard originating from the workshop estate of Joseph Kun (Ottawa, Ontario) — one of Canada’s most respected 20th-century violin makers.
This piece represents authentic workshop material from the Joseph Kun estate.

Wood: Ebony (Diospyros species)
Working Stage: Rough-shaped blank; underside concave scoop partially formed; final surfacing and dressing required
Condition: Structurally sound; minor workshop handling marks consistent with bench material
The ebony shows tight, even grain and uniform density. The blank has been dimensioned and partially shaped, allowing the luthier to complete final cambering, edge dressing, and polishing according to setup preference.
Suitable for violin builds or restoration projects needing a 10 inch fingerboard .
